Celebrate First Amendment Champions: Submit Your Nominations
Nominations are now open for the annual First Amendment Award from the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications. This award honors New Hampshire individuals or groups who stand out in their defense of, or their use of, the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Last year’s honoree was Laurie Ortolano of Nashua for her government transparency advocacy.
A distinguished group of judges reviews First Amendment nominees submitted by the public to choose the recipient. This year’s Award judges are previous First Amendment recipient and Legal Director of the ACLU-NH Gilles Bissonnette, retired N.H. Supreme Court Justice Richard Galway, Attorney Gregory Sullivan of Malloy & Sullivan, LPC, and NH Bulletin Senior Reporter Annmarie Timmins.
Nominations for the 2024 First Amendment Award may be made at the Loeb School’s website: loebschool.org/our-first-amendment-honor. Here you will also find a list of previous winners and more information about the Award. The extended deadline for nominations is Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
