About the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications
The Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications, Inc. is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit founded in 1999 by Nackey S. Loeb, late president and publisher of The Union Leader and New Hampshire Sunday News newspapers.
Our mission is to promote and defend the First Amendment and foster interest, integrity, and excellence in journalism and other forms of communication by educating students of various ages and providing them with the tools and knowledge to improve their skills.
What We Do
Through expert-lead workshops, accessible programs, and events, we empower people from a variety of backgrounds to learn how to speak up, speak out, and make sense of today’s media environment. We offer high-value training through our free or low-cost offerings.
The Loeb School supports high school and college journalists, initiatives to boost local news coverage of critical issues, and training and professional development to businesses and organizations.
The Loeb School is located in the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) at Saint Anselm College. Through this strategic alliance, the Loeb School leases space at NHIOP to host classes, workshops, and events. Learn more about this alliance.
