First Amendment Awards and Event

Join us for an inspiring event on Thursday, October 24th at 4 PM at the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications, inside the NH Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College.

This year’s Keynote Program features a rare opportunity to hear from C-SPAN’s outgoing and incoming CEOs, Susan Swain and Sam Feist. Learn firsthand how C-SPAN's unwavering commitment to unbiased, fact-based journalism has shaped American civic engagement over the past 45 years — and how it remains essential in the fight against misinformation.

We'll also celebrate First Amendment Award honorees— New Hampshire individuals or groups who stand out in their defense of or their use of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. This year we will celebrate two First Amendment Award honorees and a Quill and Ink honoree, an award not given annually, but reserved to honor significant contributions to the education of Granite Staters about the First Amendment.

This event is more than just a gathering—it's a chance to support our largest annual fundraiser, which directly fuels the Nackey S. Loeb School’s mission to promote and defend the First Amendment and foster interest, integrity and excellence in journalism and other forms of communication.
