The Loeb School’s new Back to Basics courses are crafted to empower learners of all levels with essential skills. These are dynamic learning experiences with an emphasis on visual aids and hands-on applications, with easy to use summary notes, and shortcut lists in every module. Elevate your skills effortlessly and embrace the joy of mastering the use of new tools.

 This spring, our first Back to Basics class is on Google Tools. We will focus on Google Docs and Google Drive, including building documents with text, translations, charts, and AI applications, the best ways to use Google tools for collaborations, and how to create an archive in Google Drive for your organization.

In this class you will learn to:

·      Develop a clear understanding of the basics of essential software tools like Google Drive and Google Docs,

·      Apply acquired skills in real-world scenarios by using software to complete work and volunteer tasks, and

·      Cultivate a sense of confidence and familiarity with these tools.

Your Instructor: Ananya Ramani is the inaugural Fellow at the Nackey Scripps Loeb School of Communications. She is a seasoned communicator with extensive experience in advocacy and policy work, including directing communications and advocacy for LGBTQI+ refugees and asylum seekers at SafePlace International, and leading research teams at the Center for AI and Digital Policy. Ananya’s past work has contributed to organizational growth, notably through developing and implementing comprehensive communications strategies, steering high-performing teams, and increasing social media engagement. She holds advanced degrees in International Humanitarian Law & Human Rights, and ongoing certification in Ethical Emerging Technologies.
