The Annual First Amendment Awards •Done Differently

Necessity is the Mother of Invention, or so they say. Our 18th annual event, the First Amendment Awards, took a different form in 2020. While we were unable to gather in person for a celebration, we drew on the same flexibility and ingenuity that took our 20 year old School from physical classrooms in Manchester, NH into the digital sphere for the first time ever. We present, instead, The F1RST THINGS F1RST Project: a magazine and video collection of brief reflections on what the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution means in these times. You can read, and view, essays and commentary from past Award Honorees, past Event Speakers, and notable First Amendment scholars and experts. And, share some of your thoughts!

Share a brief (250 word) essay with us at loebschool@loebschool.org, Subject Line: First Amendment Submission.  We look forward to hearing from you!
