The First Amendment

Two hundred and thirty-one years ago, the First Amendment of the United States Constitution was authored.

The First Amendment addresses five freedoms of Americans: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications offers programming in the form of free classes, resources, and annual events to celebrate, promote, defend, and educate others about The First Amendment.
